Lunch ‘n Learn

Thursday, September 20  at 12 noon in the DiMatteo Worship Center
September’s  Lunch ‘n Learn presenter is Donna Wierzbowski, one of the greenhouse team members at Stauffers of Kissel Hill located in Hummelstown.  Donna will share information on succulents, why they are unlike other plants, and how to care for them. You’ll also learn about the differences between inside and outside succulents and which varieties are best suited for each area.  Lastly, tips will be shared on how to propagate succulents and how to employ color, texture, and growth habits to create great-looking arrangements.   Donna earned an Associate of Science degree in Ornamental Horticulture from the Harrisburg Area Community College in 2016.  She’s now completing classes at Mt. Cuba Center in Delaware for an Ecological Gardening Certificate, which focuses specifically on native plants.  This program is open to the public. Sessions typically last just one hour with participant either bringing their own lunch or ordering a boxed lunch at a slight charge.  Or just come  to hear the speaker.  Reservations for seating and lunches are needed no later than one week in advance and can be made by calling 717-838-5406.
