Speakers Sue Dieffenbach and Henry “Hank” Deemer will present on the Historic Cornwall Iron Furnace, part of the national Historic Landmark District, America’s most complete charcoal fueled ironmaking complex. Designated a National Historical Landmark by the American Society of Metals, and a National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, citing Cornwall Furnace as “the only one of America’s hundreds of 19th century charcoal fueled blast furnaces to survive fully intact.”
The Lunch ‘N Learn series is open to the public and requires a reservation be made no later than a week prior to the event by calling 717-838-5406 ext. 3009. Brown bag lunches are available for purchase and must be requested at the time of reservation. You are also welcomed to bring in your own lunch during the discussion or feel free to come and listen to the speaker.
