Sales Manager
Staff Spotlight
Sales Manager, Sales Department
At Londonderry Village, many careers grow and evolve over decades—and few demonstrate that better than Amy Kinney. With over 25 years of service, Amy has seen Londonderry transform in countless ways, from typewriters and hand-written records to the vibrant, modern community it is today. Along the way, she has grown right alongside it—taking on new roles, learning new skills, and bringing her energy and humor to every department she’s been part of.
A Career That Spans Departments
Amy’s first role at Londonderry Village was as a Business Office Receptionist in 1991. By the mid-1990s, she had moved into the role of Computer Coordinator, helping usher Londonderry into the digital age. At the time, nearly everything was done by hand or typewriter, and Amy became the “internal help desk,” training staff who had little or no prior computer experience, troubleshooting printer jams, and even resetting the system from wires in the boiler room.
After taking several years off to raise her daughter, Amy returned in 2007 as the Community Center Receptionist—a position later merged with Development Assistant. From there, she steadily expanded her responsibilities: becoming Recording Secretary to the Board of Directors, then Administrative Assistant with fundraising and Board duties. In 2023, she shifted into the Marketing Department, first as Marketing Assistant, and in early 2025, she was promoted to her current role as Sales Manager.
Current Role and What She Loves Most
As Sales Manager, Amy thrives on meeting with future residents and sharing all that Londonderry Village has to offer. She loves being part of the process of welcoming new people into the community and showing them the many ways they can feel at home here.
Learning and Development
While Amy doesn’t have a long list of formal degrees, her knowledge base has been built through experience, self-teaching, and opportunities Londonderry has provided over the years. From seminars and conferences to networking events, she’s always ready to learn and grow—an attitude that has carried her through decades of evolving roles.
Favorite Memories
Amy’s favorite memories often come from the camaraderie of her colleagues. A standout tradition is the quarterly cooking competitions hosted by the Marketing and Sales team, where departments judge dishes and the winner earns the coveted “Golden Spatula” award. These lighthearted contests capture the teamwork and fun that make Londonderry Village special.
Beyond Work
Born and raised in Palmyra, Amy still calls it her true hometown. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, experimenting with new hobbies like wool felting, watching true crime documentaries, and cooking. Above all, she values humor—especially when it means “lightly bullying everyone I love.”

Looking Ahead
Amy describes her current position as both rewarding and challenging—exactly the combination that fuels career growth. She feels that her work has meaning and makes a difference, and she is excited to continue learning, contributing, and seeing her efforts positively impact residents and staff alike.
